Biography V. Markovich Athanasius
(d. 1867). Upon completion in 1846, Mr.. course at the University of Kiev became a member of St. Cyril and Methodius Brotherhood was in favor in 1847, Mr.. exiled to Orel, where he was appointed assistant governor of the governor's office and soon married Maria Alexandrovna Velinskoy (cm. Markovic, M. A. ). Serving in Nemirov, Markovich prepared for printing large and very valuable in the scientific sense, a collection of Little-Russian proverb - "Ukrainian prikazki" (published by Mikhail Simonov in 1864. in St. Petersburg, under the pseudonym Nomisa, who had to show to the world outlook of proverbs and household Little Russian people from the Caucasus to the Carpathians. Authorship Markevich in compiling the collection specified in the Galician newspaper "Pravda" (1889, XI, 157) and then in the "History" Ogonowski (Volume III). AN. Pypin in "History of Russian Ethnography" (III, 368) considers the main compiler of the books published under the pseudonym of Nomis, he not only gave to her a lot of material, but a plan for the publication.
