Biography Mosolov Nikolai Semenovich
(1846 - 1914). Worked under the guidance of Professor EF. Jordan, completed the formation of its Dresden and Paris. In 1871 he received the title of academician. The number of prints, engravings M., reaches several hundred, of which only a few filled with his own sketches and drawings, the others - to play other people's tracks. Especially appreciated by his etchings of selected paintings from the Hermitage, published in 1872 in Vienna, in the form of two compilations: "Les chefs d'oeuvre de l'Ermitage" (20 sheets) and "Les Rembrandts de l'Ermitage" (40 pages). Rembrandt etchings devoted to the album, released M. in 1876, under the title: "Dix eauxfortes d'apres Rembrandt". M. also engraved with pictures VV. Vereshchagin, H. Gay ( "The Last Supper"), in.
