Stoic outlook on. Was born and lived on the island of Rhodes. Preserved by himself drawn extract from his commentary to compose Posidonius "Introduction to Astronomy" (Greek. "Eisagoge eis ta phainomena", Latin. "Elementa astronomiae"). In it, in addition to astronomical data, D. presents "Chaldean" teaching about aspects of the arc (between the signs of the zodiac, and between the planets), likes and dislikes, Saros, a method of weather prediction (similar to the method described in "phases ..."
