Mikhail Antonovich Usov

(1883-1939)
Graduate TTI (1908), Fellow (until 1913), then a teacher and professor (1916). Dean Mountain Branch (1917-1922). Member of the Board of Studies for TTI (rector, 1922-1926).

Strengthened and developed the Siberian geological school, founded in. Obruchev. Works on the geology and mineral resources of Siberia and neighboring areas of China and Mongolia, the theoretical problems of tectonics and petrography. In 1939 he became director of the Geological Institute of USSR Academy of Sciences.

Name Usova is a street in Tomsk, in front of mining and geological corps TPU is a monument to Academician.
