Biography Renard Karl Ivanovich
son, Jean-Claude P. (1778 - 1827), teacher Mainsk Medical School and practitioner, has shown great energy in the fight against typhoid epidemics raging in Mainz in 1813 and 1814 respectively. Renard's father made several learned treatises on these epidemics, which are important for the history of medicine. Medical Education P. received in Giessen, where recognized medical doctor in 1832, and in 1834 P. moved to Moscow. R. was the secretary of the Moscow Society of Naturalists (1840 - 72), its vice-president (1872 - 84) and President (1884 - 86). Since 1840 until the death of P. edited the "Bulletin de la Societe des Naturalistes de Moscou" (45 min.) and "Noveaux Memoires de la Societe des Naturalistes de Moscou" (20 vols.) and other publications society.
