Biography Rosen Frederick Fridrikhovich
Born in 1834 in St. Petersburg. In 1855, after completing the course on a desktop unit Richelieu Lyceum, he entered the University of Dorpat, where he studied natural sciences. In 1863, approved in the degree of Master of Science for the Protection of the thesis "Die chemisch-geognostischen Verhaltnisse der devonischen Formation des Dunathals in Livund Kurland und des Welikajathals bei Pleskau" (Dorpat, 1863). In 1864, defined an assistant professor at Kazan University in the Department of Mineralogy. Received a Ph.D. in mineralogy in 1867 for his thesis "Ueber die Natur der Stromatoporen" ( "Notes of the Imperial St. Petersburg Mineralogical Society). From 1868 to 1894 was professor of mineralogy at Kazan University, and since 1880 has taught the same subject and the Kazan Veterinary Institute. Died in 1902.
