The son of a village priest, a graduate of St. Petersburg Theological Academy, P. occupied it until 1852 the Department of Mathematics and Physics. In recent years he lived in Ryazan, engaging device free public lectures on physics and natural history (1859 - 1866). Posted a few guidelines other than the clarity and accessibility statement. The writing of his "On Religious Schools" was written by him on behalf of the Director of the Office of the Sinodskoy Gajewski, . in mind involves a conversion of schools, . but, .
