Biography BAR Herman (Bahr Hermann)
Born July 19, 1863 in Linz. Antiquity and studied law at the universities of Vienna and Berlin. In 1888-1889 he lived in Paris, where he wrote his first major work - the tragedy of a great sin (Die Grosse Snde). Since 1890 - co-editor of the Berlin magazine 'Di Freie Bц+hne'. Starting from 1892 for almost 20 years, Bar actively engaged in diverse artistic life of Vienna - published the magazine 'Die Zeit', worked in the department of theater critics newspaper Deutsche Zeitung '. Articles Bara 1892-1906 published in a projected four. Most famous being his Concerto (Das Konzert, 1909) - a light comedy of Viennese life. Among the best plays Bara - Franzl (Der Franzl), tragedy Sanna (Sanna), Voice (Die Stimme, 1916); best novels - Ascension (Himmelfahrt) and evil tribe (Die Rotte Korahs). In 1923 he published his self-portrait (Selbstbildnis). Endowed with a brilliant talent and multilateral, Bar for three decades was at the forefront of all the major literary trends in central Europe. Died Bar in Munich January 15, 1934.
