Biography Blair, Louis (Blriot Louis)
Born July 1, 1872 in Cambrai. July 25, 1909 Bleriot first in the world flew over the English Channel from Calais to Dover, on monoplanes 'Bleriot XI' with three-cylinder engine rated at 25 hp. Aircraft Bleriot had the most perfect at the time the design, and its chassis with the free-equipment wheels for landing against the wind was widely used in aviation. During the First World War Bleriot engaged in construction of aircraft for the French army. Total for this period were issued more than 10 thousand. aircraft in its design, including the famous fighters 'Recession'. After the war, BlцLriot formed his own aircraft company for the production of civilian aircraft and seaplanes. Died Bleriot in Paris on Aug. 2, 1936.
