Biography Henri Edouard Prosper Breuil (Breuil Henri douard-Prosper)
Born in Mortene (near Donfrona, department of Manche) February 28, 1877. Educated at the College de Saint-Vincent in Senlis, the seminary of Saint-Sulpice and the Sorbonne. In 1897 was ordained. Breuil lectured on the ethnography of the University of Freiburg (1905-1910), in 1910 became an honorary professor at the Institute of Ethnography of prehistoric human paleontology, . and in 1929 he was awarded the title of professor of prehistory at the Collц¬ge de France,
. Proceedings of the Braille on a range of problems of the Paleolithic and Neolithic archeology, but he was especially known for his studies of cave art. In 1952 his work was published by Four Ages of Rock Art (Quatre cents sicles d'art parital).
Breuil died in ILE-Adana August 14, 1961.
