In his treatise Nikomaha "Introduction to arithmetic, arithmetical concepts for the first time are not geometric, and digital interpretation. Textbook harmony, compiled Nikomahom, largely based on ancient tradition; remarkable likeness to the seven musical tones of the planets, as well as the apocryphal story about the opening Nikomaha Pythagoras numerical interval relations. Proposed Nikomahom a four division mathematics was essential for its further development. Through Boethius arithmetic and some music-theoretical ideas Nikomaha passed into the Latin Middle Ages.
The famous philosopher Proclus Photiki believed that in a past life he was Nikomahom.
