Born October 15, 1881 in Guildford. Educated in Dalich College London. In 1902 began to publish eccentric humorous pieces in newspapers and magazines. From 1909 he lived in the U.S.. . Woodhouse is also the author of many musicals, mostly in collaboration with Bolton (1887-1979) and Dzh.Kernom (1885-1945).

Wodehouse valuable contribution to the literature is the image of a lackey Dzhivza. The first story about Dzhivze was published in 1916, in 1923 published a book Dzhivz. This character also appears in books Perform, Dzhivz (Carry On, Jeeves), thank you, Dzhivz (Thank you, Jeeves), and The Return of Dzhivza (The Return of Jeeves).
