Biography Sebastian Cabot (Sabot Sebastian),
Born in Venice or in Bristol. He accompanied his father, John Cabot during his second trip to America (1498). In 1509 tried to find the North-West sea route to East Asia. In 1512 Cabot mapped areas of Gascony and Gyuyen for the English King Henry VIII. In 1512-1516 was a cartographer in the service of Ferdinand II, King of Aragon and Castile. In 1519-1526 and in 1533-1544 served as chief navigator of the fleet of the Holy Roman Empire. In 1526 led the Venetian expedition traveled from Seville in search of fabulous wealth Ophir and Kataja.
