Biography CASTANEDA, Carlos (Castaneda Carlos)
Castaneda was born December 25, 1925 in Cajamarca (Peru), and in 1951 emigrated to California. In 1973 he became a doctor of anthropology, defending his thesis, University of California, almost identical to his third book, Journey to Ixtlan (Journey to Ixtlan, 1972). The appearance of the first book The Teachings of Don Juan (The Teaching of Don Juan, . 1968) and special reality (A Separate Reality, . 1971) made the author famous, . and stories about the power (Tales of Power, . 1974) and the second set of forces (The Second Ring of Power, . 1977) have also become bestsellers,
. The sixth of the books in this series Dar Eagle (The Eagle's Gift) was published in 1981.

The texts themselves works of Castaneda's claim to be a detailed account of impressions and experiences of the author (under the name 'Carlos'), obtained during training at the old Indian from a tribe yaki don Juan Matus and his assistant, Don Genaro.
