Biography CLEMENTE Muzio (Clementi Muzio)
(1752-1832) Born January 23, 1752 in Rome. Some wealthy English gentleman took talented boys in London, where Clemente was educated, and subsequently not only performed as a pianist and conductor, but also founded a publishing house and a factory to manufacture keyboards. More credibility as a teacher and author of works for piano. His 100 sketches, collected in the volume Stairs to Parnassus (Gradus ad Parnassum, 1817), still used pianists who wish to improve piano technique. Clemente died in Ivsheme (England) 10 March 1832.
