Biography Lavisse Ernest (Lavisse Ernest)
Born in northern France in the village Nuvon en Terash December 17, 1842. He was educated in Paris at the LycцLe Charlemagne and the Ecole Normale SupцLrieure. After the Franco-Prussian War Lavisse went to Germany for an internship to Weitz. Returning to Paris, taught at the LycцLe Henri IV, in the Ecole Normale SupцLrieure and the Sorbonne. Took an active part in the reform of educational system. He was elected to the French Academy in 1892. Many involved in the history of Prussia, in particular the work of Frederick the Great.
