Born January 7, 1899 in Paris. Poulenc was largely self-taught, although in his student years, instead of perform stringent requirements of parents in regard to his education, has successfully used the free time for lessons in piano and composition. . Poulenc wrote many texts on contemporary poets (Cocteau, Eluard, Aragon, Apollinaire and Anhui), and similarly in the texts of the poet 16. Ronsard. Vocal cycles Poems Ronsard (Pomes de Ronsard, 1924-1925) and Gallant Festivals (Ftes galantes, 1943) - among the most frequently performed works of the composer. Poulenc was a first-class accompanist in the performance of their own vocal works. Perfect mastery of the piano was reflected in a number of plays Poulenc for this instrument, such as the Perpetual Motion (Mouvements perptuels, 1918) and evening Nazelle (Soires de Nazelles, 1936). But Poulenc was not only a miniaturist. His legacy is large and the compositions of the form - for example, Mass (1937), a witty concerto for two pianos and orchestra (1932), Concerto for Organ and Orchestra (1938) and other successful choral and instrumental loops. Poulenc also wrote music for theater, film, ballet, composed two operas - Breast Tireziya (Les Mamelles de Tirsias, 1944) and Dialogues des Carmelites (Les Dialogues des Carmlites, 1957), as well as monooperu Human Voice (La voix humaine, 1959). Poulenc died in Paris on 30 January 1963.
