Alberto Fujimori (Fujimori Alberto)

Born July 28, 1938 in Lima, in a family of immigrants from Japan. He graduated from the State Agrarian University in Lima, he studied in graduate school at University of Strasbourg (France), then at the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He returned to Peru, worked as an agronomist, was subsequently appointed rector of the State Agricultural University. He has also worked in television, gave an overview of the economic situation of the country. In 1990 founded the Party 'Cambio 90' ( 'Changes in 1990') and created a sensation by winning the election June 10, 1990. As president, took a number of programs aimed at reducing poverty, ending the guerrilla war and the fight against drug trafficking. In April 1992, declared a state of emergency, dissolved the Congress and the courts, suspending certain provisions of the constitution and imposed censorship.
