Biography Nicholas Berzarin Erastovich
(1.IV.1904, St. Petersburg - 16.VI.1945, Berlin) In the Red Army from 1918. Member of the Civil War. He graduated from the course "The Shot" (1925). He commanded a rifle regiment, division. During the Great Patriotic War, commanded the 27 th, 34 th (December 1941) armies, deputy commander of the 61 th, 20 th (October, 1942. - September 1943), with 9.IH.1943 g. - 39 th, 5-1 shock (May 1944) armies. Troops of the 39 th Army under his command distinguished themselves in combat during Duhovschinsko-Demidov offensive 1943. Was the first Soviet commandant of Berlin. Killed on duty. Awarded nine Soviet orders and medals. He was buried at Novodevichy Cemetery in Moscow. Its named after a street in g. Dukhovshchina.
