Biography Boyar Grigory Ivanovich
(15.II.1922, with. Sukromlya Ershichskogo district of Smolensk region - 27.HII.1979, was killed in combat in Afghanistan).
In the Red Army since 1940. He graduated in July 1941. Sverdlovsk military infantry school. Member of the Great Patriotic War of 1941. He commanded a platoon, was the chief of the frontier post, and since December 1943. - Chief of Staff of small battalion of the NKVD. After the war he served in the Border Forces. In 1959, Mr.. Adjuncture graduated from the Military Academy. Frunze. Candidate of Military Sciences. He has held command and staff positions, headed the Department of Military Academy, was the chief of courses for retraining of officer personnel. Colonel. At the storming of the palace in Kabul, Amin, was mortally wounded. He was awarded the Order of Lenin, Red Banner, medals. Buried in Moscow. His name is memorialized on the monument Stelle countrymen who died in Afghanistan, established in Smolensk Square House officers.
