Of the nobility. Educated in Smolensk boarding school, graduated in 1855, Mr.. Graduated (1863) History and Philology. He taught ancient languages and logic in the 1-st Moscow school. First appearance in print - translated poems J. Byron's "Darkness" (1876). From 80-ies. active member of the Moscow Psychological Society, and his speeches and articles "Love in Plato" (1886), . Teaching Schiller about the beauty and aesthetic pleasure "(1891), . "Beauty and Art" (1898), etc., . with the philosophy, . psychology and aesthetics, . were limited largely to the popularization of classical philosophical theories,
. Sustained interest in philosophy and realized in his work (poem, "Buddha", 1885). Translated "Cain" J. Byron (1883). Were posthumously published his translations of dramas F.
