Biography Komzin Ivan
(29.VI.1905, der. Vasilevo Viazemsky district of Smolensk province - 27.III.1983, Moscow) Head of construction of the Volga HPP. VI. Lenin (1950-58 gg.), Chief expert of the construction of the Aswan High Dam in Egypt. Member of the Great Patriotic War. He served in the Navy. Major-General engineering services. Honored Builder of the RSFSR. Professor of MISI. VV. Kuibyshev (1965-83 gg.). He was awarded two Orders of Lenin, the Order of the October Revolution, two Orders of the Patriotic War, 1-st degree, foreign orders. His name is given to the street in Samara, Togliatti.
