In 1923, Mr.. graduated from Kharkov Medical Institute and until 1930,. worked in the university. He studied lipid and lipid exchange. From 1930 to 1933. headed the Department of Pathophysiology of the Smolensk Medical Institute. Since 1933. by 1941. A work. connected with the Ukrainian Institute of Advanced Medical. In the period from 1945 to 1961. worked in the All-Union Institute of Endocrinology and simultaneously up to 1952. charge of the experimental department of the Clinic medical nutrition. Since 1961. headed the Department of Pathological Physiology, Central Institute of Advanced Medical.

Large number of studies devoted to the study lipokaina and study its effect on metabolism in experimental diabetes and hepatitis. L. received a certificate of authorship on this drug. In addition, he studied the pathogenesis of diabetes mellitus and study the role of ACTH, glucocorticoids and growth hormone in the regulation of metabolism. Under the direction of L. protected by more than 10 doctoral and 30 master's theses. He has written over 200 scientific works, including 8 monographs.

Awarded the Order of Lenin medal.
