Born February 23, 1911 in the village Vaskovich now Slavgorod district of Mogilev region in a working class family. Russian. Member of the CPSU (b) since 1932. He graduated from the school FZU. He worked as a fitter rail depot in the city of Pskov region bottom, then - an assistant locomotive engineer. In the Red Army in 1929. He graduated from the school Eisk marine pilots and letnabov. Served in her instructor.

In 1939, at Khalkhin Goal in 40 air battles in the group shot down 6 Japanese planes. Then he served in the 13 th Fighter Aviation Regiment (10-Mixed Aviation Brigade, Air Baltic Fleet). Member of the Soviet-Finnish war of 1939-1940.

Member of the Great Patriotic War on June 22, 1941. June 25 Captain Antonenko AK. shot down the first enemy aircraft on the Baltic Sea - bomber Ju-88. Distinguished itself in July 1941 during the defense of the peninsula of Hanko. During 34 days of fighting, shooting down 11 enemy planes (1 - a battering ram).
