. Born October 2, 1921 in the town Yelets now Lipetsk region in a working class family. Russian. Member of the CPSU since 1943. Since 1932 he lived in Moscow. Graduated from the 7 classes and school FZU. He worked as a turner at the Moscow plant named after S. Ordzhonikidze, and also studied at the flying club. In the Red Army from December 1939. In 1940 he graduated from the 2-S Borisoglebsk Red Banner Military Aviation Pilot School Chkalov.
H as the Great Patriotic War from July 26, 1943. He fought at the Kalinin Front. Was a pilot, then flight commander.

. flew in a group of 12 La-7 attack aircraft to cover the north-east of Lviv. There was considerable cloudiness. She took the couple Me-109 and, secretly stole up to the group, suddenly attacked her. Glinkin tried to repulse the attack, but was wounded in the leg, and his plane shot down. Glinkin opened the lantern, to jump, but at this point was very close in front of Me-109.
