D urdy Kurban - junior sergeant, commander of the small office 389 th Infantry Regiment (176 th Infantry Division, 9 th Army, the Southern Front). Born in 1917 in the village Kongur-Yab now Sakar-Chaginsskogo District Mary region of Turkmenistan. Tц?rkmen. After graduating from 6 classes, worked on the farm. In the Soviet army called in September 1938. Graduated from the regimental school in 1939. Participated in the march of Soviet troops in the western Ukraine in 1939
The World War II found him at the border with Romania. Junior Sergeant Durdy Edintsy the village (now city in Moldova) 22 June 1941 adopted the first battle with the Nazis, not once drove men into the attack.

. In 1947 he graduated from the Pedagogical Institute in Ashgabat. He was director of the Museum of the History of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan. Awarded the Order of Lenin and medals. Honorary Citizen of Edintsy.
Died Feb. 12, 1976. Buried in the village of Keshi Ashgabat Ashkhabad region of Turkmenistan.
