In the Soviet army from 1946. In 1946-1947 he studied at Tambov Military Aviation School. In 1951 he graduated from Kirovabad Military Aviation School, until 1955 there was an instructor pilot. In 1957 he graduated from the Test Pilot School in 1966 Б? evening department MAI.
In 1957-1987 Б? in flight test work of the SV Ilyushin Design Bureau (in 1976-1987 Б? senior test pilot EDO). In 1971, lifted into the sky and tested the transport plane Il-76.
