M iroshnichenko Viktor squad commander, 76-th separate railway battalion - Sergeant. Russian. Born November 15, 1917 at the station Lannaya Poltava region. After the seven-year period g.Merefa studied at the factory school. Since 1933 he worked as a turner at the Kharkov Steam-Engine Factory. In the series, the Red Army since 1938.
October 4, 1941 on the outskirts of Tula fierce battles. Bridge over the River Snopot concealed machine-gun crew under the command of Sergeant Miroshnichenko. He was tasked with - as long as possible to delay the enemy, then blow up the bridge. During the fierce battle soldiers machine-gun crew were killed. Miroshnichenko was left alone. He was wounded but continued to fire on the advancing enemy. However, the forces were unequal, and Miroshnichenko decided to blow up the bridge. During the battle were slaughtered cords, leading to a mined bridge. Miroshnichenko not confused. Overcoming the pain, he crawled to safety fuse and lit it ends. At the cost of his own life Sergeant Miroshnichenko eliminated the crossing in the way of the advancing Nazi troops.
