N ina Andreyevna Onilova - machine-gun crew commander, 54 th Infantry Regiment (25 th Chapaevskaya Infantry Division, Maritime Army, Crimean front), Young Communist sergeant. Born in April 1921 in the village Novonikolaevka now Frunze district of Odessa region in a peasant family. Ukrainka. Early deprived parents, Nina was raised in Odessa orphanage. Graduated from high school. She worked as a seamstress at the Odessa knitting factory. Simultaneously, she studied at the flying club. In August 1941, to voluntarily go to the front.

In heavy defensive battles on the outskirts of Odessa, Nina Onilova with its calculation reflects numerous attacks, inflicting heavy losses to the enemy. In one battle, Nina was seriously injured, but after the treatment returns to his division. During the fighting near Odessa, machine-gunner was awarded the Order of the Red Banner.

In mid-October 1941 Onilova of divisions defending Sevastopol. February 27, 1942 Sergeant Onilova N.A. the calculation in the defense of Sevastopol in the area of farms Mackenzie destroyed 2 enemy machine-gun. March 1, 1942 the rate of one left alive, continued to repel enemy attacks. In battle, was seriously wounded. She died on the night of March 8.
