. Born September 26, 1917 in St. Nicholas Village, (now in the city of Kiev) in the family working. Ukrainetz. Member of the CPSU (b) since 1942. Lower secondary education. He worked on the railroad in Gomel. Simultaneously, he studied at the flying club. In the Red Army since 1938. In 1940 he graduated from the 8 th Odessa Military Aviation School of Pilots. On the Great Patriotic War from August 1941. On eight occasions, was wounded in battle, but each time returned to the system. June 3, 1942 during a combat mission in the area Alexandrovka (near the city of raisin) in its I-16 got flak. The explosion threw him from the cab and he landed by parachute. Orderlies picked him unconscious, with both lame and seriously wounded in the head. Six weeks later he returned to the system.
Commander of the 40 Fighter Regiment (216 th Fighter Division, 4 th Air Army, Transcaucasus Front) Lieutenant Sementsov MI. in November 1942 in an air battle near the city of Elista (Kalmykia) on a collision course rammed an enemy fighter. Landed by parachute.
Guard Lieutenant Sementsov MI. by July 1943 made 270 sorties, shot down in aerial combat in person 12 and in Group 9 enemy planes.

. 12 February 1945, squadron commander of the same regiment Guard Captain Sementsov in a group of fighters took off to cover the squadrons of bombers Pe-2, a blow to the airfield Neisse
. In the target area bombers attacked a large group of enemy fighters. In the ensuing battle Sementsov shot down a FW-190, but he himself was shot down. Total 18 and knocked himself in the group of 12 enemy aircraft.
He was awarded the Order of Lenin, 2 orders of the Red Banner, Order of the Red Star and medals. Forever enrolled in the lists of the military unit.
