In Private WWII. He fought at Stalingrad, Kalinin, Central, Belorussian fronts. In February and September 1942 was a flight commander 163rd Fighter Regiment (Kalinin Front). In September 1942 transferred to the pilot in the 157 th Fighter Regiment. From September 1942 to October 1944 he was successively a pilot, flight commander, squadron commander of the regiment (Kalinin, Central and 1 st Belorussian Front). In October, 1944 - January 1945 Б? squadron commander of the 133rd Fighter Regiment (1 st Belorussian Front). In January-May 1945 Б? squadron commander, 233rd Fighter Regiment (1 st Belorussian Front).

Test pilot class 4 (1950). He was awarded the Order of Lenin, 2 orders of the Red Banner, 2 orders of the Patriotic War, 1-st degree, medals.
