Phrygian Darius

Darius Phrygian tale about the fall of Troy (De excidtio Troiae historia), V (or IV?) In. n. e., the Latin translation is not preserved Greek prose work, created, perhaps, in the I. n. e. and attributed to D., who in the Iliad is a priest of Hephaestus in Troy, and according to Eliane, was the author of more ancient tale of the Trojan War (the so-called Phrygian Iliad). Unknown translator impersonating Nepos, and dedicates his translation of Sallust, which is an obvious anachronism. The product of the alleged eyewitness and participant in the Trojan War unfavorable to the Greeks and contrary to Homer (eg Patroclus dying long before the "wrath of Achilles," Troy falls because of the treachery of Aeneas and t. etc.). Story of the fall of Troy is not of great literary value, . however, it had considerable influence on medieval literature, . providing plots for chivalry and introducing, along with writing, . attributed Diktisu, . main source of information about the Trojan War.,
