Biography FALISK Gratia (Grattius Faliscus)
Grata Falisk; Grattius, Faliscus, I in. BC. e. / I in. n. e., Roman poet. A contemporary of Ovid, who mentions it in the Pontic Epistles. He was the author of a didactic poem on hunting Kinegetika (Cynegetica). Of the several books preserved 541 hexameter. G. described in their preparations for the hunt, hunting gear, and various breeds of horses and dogs. In the poem clearly shows the influence of Virgil and Horace. This work may have been the transposition of some other didactic poem of the Hellenistic era. In the III. n. e. on the same subject written Nemezian.
