Biography Hyperides (Hypereides)
Hyperides; Hypereides, 389-322 gg. BC. e., Greek orator and politician. Pupil Isocrates. Occurred from a wealthy Athenian family. He began his career as logograph (cm. Attic logographs). He defended hetaira Phryne the charge of impiety. Consecutive enemy of Macedonia, Mr.. initially cooperated with Demosfenom, which was later blamed on the process relating to the embezzlement of Harpalus and former treasurer of Alexander of Macedon. G. was one of the organizers against the so-called Macedonian lamiyskoy War (323-322 gg. BC. BC.), but resigned after the defeat of eulogy to the fallen Athenians. Sentenced to death, he fled to Aegina, where he was assassinated on the orders of the Macedonian regent Antipater. - Until 1847, Mr.. from the speeches of Mr.. were known to only small fragments. G. wrote on the Attic dialect, with the inclusion of conversational speed, which brings him to the common dialect of the Hellenistic period (Koine). G. read and admired in the Hellenistic period.
