Biography Pherecydes (Pherekydes)
Pherecydes; Pherekydes, the middle of VI. BC. e., the most ancient Greek writer. Author works Semiknizhie (Heptamychos) or the Pentateuch (Pentemychos). It was a theological treatise on the birth of the gods and the creation of the world associated with Hesiod's Theogony. F. enjoyed the Ionian dialect, wrote in a fantastic style, simple, short sentences, as can be concluded on the basis of a single large fragment of his works found on Egyptian papyrus.
