Biography BAUZE Fedir

Born in a family pastor in a small German town Triptis (Saxony). Receiving the initial education at home, in the eleventh year, was established in Leipzig School St.. Thomas, seven years later he entered the Faculty of the University of Leipzig. In 1773, Mr.. arrived in St. Petersburg, where for some time engaged in private lessons until he received as a teacher, then an inspector in Peter's College of the Lutheran Church. Here he perfected as a teacher.
In 1782, Mr.. Bauze was invited to take a Department of Law at Moscow University. In subsequent years (with a break in the years 1783-1786., . when he was dismissed in Germany) lectured in law, . knowing that science is widely, . without limiting the terms of justice: a theory of jurisprudence, . on Bauze, . must be encyclopedic and historical, . a future lawyer must understand the foundations of grammar and rhetoric, . history and geography, . philosophy and mathematics; complete education ends with an extensive legal practice,

In Moscow, carried away collecting manuscripts and old printed Russian books, coins, and for thirty years was a rich collection of Russian antiquities, most of them perished in the war of 1812, Mr.. Fyodor was celebrated in Moscow music lovers. Touring actors considered it an honor to speak in his home. He himself sometimes played the organ in the Protestant parish.
In 1811, Mr.. Fyodor Bauze, ordinary professor of Roman law, academic history and pedagogy, resigned for health reasons with the rank of Counselor of State.
He died on the eve of the invasion of Napoleon's army in Russia. He was buried at Vvedenskoye (German) Cemetery in Moscow.
