Biography Alexander Ivanchenko
Astronaut Russia. Born September 28, 1940 in Ivanteevka Moscow region. During the Great Patriotic War 1941 - 1945 period on the front of my father was killed, in 1947 the mother died. He was educated in the family father's sister Claudia Petrovna Pluzhnikov. After high school he entered the Moscow Aviation Institute named after Sergo Ordzhonikidze. In 1964 he graduated and joined the design office of SP Korolev. Participated in the creation of a new sample space. In 1973 he enlisted in the detachment of Soviet cosmonauts (1973 a group of civilian experts? 9). It has been a full course of general space training and preparing to fly on spacecraft such as "Union". In May 1973, was included in one of the crew being trained for space flight on the Soviet-American program EPAS. In December 1974, was part of the backup crew during the flight of spacecraft "Soyuz-16". His second space flight made from 24 June to 2 July 1982, together with Vladimir Aleksandrovich Dzhanibekov and French astronaut Jean-Loup Chretien as a flight engineer of Soyuz T-6 ". He worked on board the orbital station Salyut-7 "with the main crew of Anatoly Nikolaevich birch and Valentin V. LEBEDEV. Length of stay in space was 7 days 21 hours 50 minutes 52 seconds. For 2 flights flown in space 147 days 12 hours 38 minutes 24 seconds. After leaving the cosmonaut corps continued to work in the design office.

Twice Hero of the Soviet Union (Decrees of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR from November 2, 1978 and July 2, 1982). Awarded 2 orders of Lenin, foreign orders and medals. Hero of the Democratic Republic of Germanskoy. Awarded the Gold Medal Tsiolkovsky Academy of Sciences of the USSR.

Author of the book "Million leagues on the planet" (1988).
