Biography TROFIMOV Victor Titovich
Born April 11, 1937, Mr.. G. Moscow. He graduated from the Geological Faculty of Moscow State University with honors (1960).
Candidate of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences (1964), Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences (1977). Professor (1979). Head of the Department of Engineering and Environmental Geology, Geological Faculty (1989). Pro-Rector (1992). Vice-Rector, Head of the General Affairs and organizational and publishing activities of the Moscow State University (1996).
Member of the Academy of Natural Sciences (1992), member of IAS HS (1993). Member of the Moscow Society of Naturalists (1977). Deputy. Chairman of the Academic Council of Moscow State University (1991).
Winner of the USSR State Prize (1977, 1988), the State Prize of Russia (1993), Prize. Lomonosov I degree (1976). He was awarded medals for Labor Merit (1976), for success in prospecting for mineral resources (1983), Veteran of Labor (1986), the sign of Excellence in prospecting for mineral resources (1979).

Topic of Ph.D. thesis: Engineering-geological conditions of the western part of the West Siberian Plain. Subject doctoral dissertation: Engineering-geological zoning of large areas based on analysis of patterns of spatial variability of geotechnical conditions (for example, the West Siberian Plate).
