Ernest V. Kalinin

Born August 12, 1936, Mr.. G. Moscow. He graduated from the Faculty of hydrogeological Moscow Geological Prospecting Institute with honors (1959).

Candidate of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences (1969), Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences (1992). Professor of Engineering and Environmental Geology, Geological Faculty (1993).

. Member of the landslide Commission (1975) and the problem commission Mathematical methods in engineering geology and hydrogeology (1980) Scientific Council of RAS on engineering geology and hydrogeology.

. Research interests: the study of stress-strain state of rock massifs methods of mathematical modeling to assess the stability of slopes and conditions of development of mineral deposits
. The first analytical apparatus used to study the stress distribution in the vicinity of the deep canyon-like valleys in connection with the assessment of the construction of high dams in gornoskladchatyh areas on rocky grounds. Using numerical modeling investigated the effect on the stress state of rock massifs, . forming slopes, . conditions of their occurrence, . inhomogeneity and anisotropy, . cracks, . tectonic forces, . seismic, . man-made interference and other factors,
