Andrey Chistyakov

Born October 16, 1930. G. Moscow. He graduated from the Geological Faculty of Moscow State University (1953).

Candidate of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences (1958), Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences (1975). Professor of Historical and Regional Geology, Geological Faculty (1989).

Deputy. Chairman of the Working Group Shelf, the commission member RAH on studying the oceans, the commission member RAH for Quaternary Research, Special Adviser to the Committee to explore mineral resources in offshore Asia. A member of specialized councils for defense of doctoral and master's theses at MSU. Judge WAC USSR (1976-1990).

Research interests: development of methods of structural and geomorphological studies in the search for various minerals in the foothills and intermontane basins. Participated in the drafting of a number of cards issued by neotectonics (the USSR, South Asia, peace, etc.). Developed methodology for structural and geomorphological studies on submarine continental margins to assess their prospects for oil and gas, . as well as in deep ocean areas in relation to the identification of deposits of iron-manganese nodules, . sulfide ores and metalliferous sediments,

Since 1956. worked in the Amur and the Kyrgyz expeditions Geological Faculty of Moscow State University as head of the detachment, in 1958. went to work in the Integrated geological expedition to the southern USSR, in 1963-1965 he. worked as head of the party in Pakistan, the Corporation for the development of oil and gas.
