Born January 3, 1931, Mr.. in with. Vasyurinskaya Krasnodar Territory. He graduated from the Geological Faculty of Moscow State University (1952).

Chairman of the Scientific Council of RAS on the hydrogeological and engineering and environmental geophysics (1987), a member of the HMS on higher geological education (1985). Member of the Scientific Council of the Faculty of Geology (1987). A member of specialized councils for Geophysics, Moscow State University (1985), MGRI (1985-1992).
. Research interests: development, improvement and introduction of electromagnetic methods in engineering-geological, hydrogeological, soil reclamation and ground-glaciological studies . Main results: the theoretical solution of a number of direct problems of the resistivity method applied to operations in mountainous terrain and underground workings to the implementation of numerical simulation, . development of tools and techniques of interpretation materials, creation of high-profiling technique for the study of glaciers and translucence to identify flooded areas around mines, development of rapid method (nomogram-pallets) for the interpretation of vertical, . polarization, . dipole, , . as well as nuclear magnetic resonance, .
