. Research interests: development and improvement of methods for hydrogeological mapping, methods of regional assessment of groundwater resources, the study of patterns of formation and quantification of underground runoff
. Develops theoretical questions of formation of underground water flow and water balance from the number of artesian basins of the USSR and Eastern Europe, the principles and vertical hydrodynamic zonation scheme. The regularities of formation and distribution of groundwater resources, their role in water balance of modern land surface, etc.. He gave the regional characteristics of natural groundwater resources in Western Siberia, the basin water from the northern rivers of the European part of USSR (Northern Dvina, river basin Caves, Tim), Southern and Middle Trans-Urals and other regions of the country. He participated in the mapping of the underground drainage of the USSR-scale 1:2500000, allowed to establish general regularities of formation and distribution of underground drainage in the USSR. Developed the concept of stratification of the section, the scheme of forming a vertical hydrodynamic zonation artesian basins platform type, typing geofiltration media. Participated in organizing and conducting the field of hydrogeological research in the Urals, Western Siberia, the Arkhangelsk region and in several other areas of the country. Topic of Ph.D. thesis: Peculiarities of formation and regional assessment of the underground drain the southern part of West-Siberian artesian basin. Subject doctoral dissertation: The formation of underground runoff in artesian basins of the platform type.
