G. Kulakhmetov was born April 22, 1881 in Penza, in a family of small industrialist. In 1902 he graduated from the Kazan school teacher, worked as a teacher (1902-1912 gg.)
Participated in illegal clubs Social Democrats, read Lenin's "Iskra", studied the works of K. Marx. Since 1903, translated into Tatar language of revolutionary literature and distributed it. In 1905-1906 years worked in the democratic press. In 1906 he published a poem called "Ruined pier, calling for combat tsarism. The play "Two thoughts" (1906) in allegorical images revealed what the victory of socialist ideas. Drama "Young Life" (1908) for the first time in the Tatar literature shows the revolutionary workers, developed the theme of proletarian international solidarity.
