(1910 - 1975)
Born May 3 (16 NS) in St. Petersburg in the family physician. Early years were on the outskirts of the Neva Gate. In the 1920's grew up and attended school in the labor. After returning to Leningrad, worked as an editor in the newspaper Electrosila. In early 1937, was arrested on charges in connection with the enemies of the people, "released in 1939 and fully rehabilitated.
During the Second World War, remaining in the besieged city, worked in radio, almost every day turning to the heroic city. At this time, has created his best poems, dedicated to defenders of Leningrad: "February Diary" (1942), "Leningrad poem".
