In 1148 Rostislav came to Kiev to Izyaslav Mstislavich and announced that he had quarreled with his father, who did not want to give him a parish in the land of Suzdal. Izyaslav gave him Gorodets Ostersky, Buzhsk, Mezhibozhe, Kotelnitsu and two more towns. But on his return from a hike Suzdal boyars told Izyaslav Rostislav though that a lot of evil intention, incited against him Berendeys and Kiev, and if God had helped his father, he came to Kiev, took to Izyaslav home and family. Izyaslav ordered Rostislav put into the boat with four guards and send up the Dnieper; squad, he was captured, and property confiscated. Rostislav came to her father in Suzdal, before it hit my forehead and said: "I heard that you want the whole Russian land and black hoods, complain that Izyaslav and dishonored, go for it". These words indicate that the denunciation of Rostislav was the founder of that Rostislav communicate with the disaffected, or at least, they communicated with him. Yuri was very angry dishonest attitude to his son. "So neither me nor my children have no place in the Russian land!" he said, and, gathering his strength and hiring Polovtsy, opened the campaign at his nephew.
Ousted in 1149 Izyaslav from Kiev, Yuri planted Rostislav in Pereslavl. In 1150 he and his father went to Lutsk against Vladimir Mstislavovitch, and in the same year he died. Brothers Andrew, Hleb and Mstislav buried him in the church of St.. Michael, near the tombs of his uncles Andrew and Svyatoslav Vladimirovich.
