Ivanov, Vladimir Ivanovich (11.3.1893, Tula - 15.3.1938, Moscow), party and state leaders. The son of a blacksmith. Educated at the medical faculty of Moscow University (1918). In 1927-31 Secretary of the North Caucasian Regional Committee, in 1931-36 1 st Secretary of the Northern Regional Committee of the CPSU (b). 1.10.1936 appointed People's Commissar of the forest industry of the USSR. 1/11/1937 arrested. As the accused attracted to the open mock trial in the case of "anti-Soviet bloc pravotrotskistskogo". Pleaded guilty in the organization of kulak uprisings in the Caucasus in 1928, to participate in a conspiratorial organizations, etc..
