Biography Carl V. Pauker
Pauker Carl V. (Jan. 1893, Lviv, Austria-Hungary - 14.8.1937, Moscow), one of the leaders of the state security, the Commissioner of Public Safety 2-rank (26/11/1935). The son of a Jewish barber. Educated at the course at the Communist University YA.M. Sverdlov (1920). Since 1906 worked as a hairdresser, from 1912 - confectioner. In 1914, drafted into the Austro-Hungarian army, Sergeant. In April. 1915 captured by Russian troops and placed in a POW camp in Turkestan. In March 1917 released, worked as a tailor and a hairdresser in Samarkand region. In October. 1917 joined RSDLP (b) and became assistant commandant of the military area, then before. Field Revolutionary Tribunal. Since December. 1918 Samarkand KGB officer, assistant before. Military Revolutionary Committee. In Sept.. 1920 appointed a commissioner of the Foreign Department of the Special Division of the Cheka, then held senior positions in the Special Division of the Cheka-GPU. 1/2/1922 Pauker was the deputy. beg. and beginning 12/5/1923. Operations Division of the Cheka-GPU-OGPU (from 10/7/1934 - NKVD). This department was in charge of protection of the leaders of the Party and government, as well as searches, arrests, of Surveillance. After 1924 as the head of I.V. Stalin made friends with him and at one time enjoyed the full confidence of the leader. Stalin appealed cheerful character Pauker, who is constantly telling ANEC-1 pillboxes, parodied various people, etc.. Perform the essential orders of Stalin and Mr.. G.
