Shlegelberger (Schlegelberger) Franz (23.10.1876, KцTnigsberg-14.12.1970, Flenburg), statesman, professor. He was educated in Konigsberg and Berlin University, Doctor of Law (1899). Since 1927 ministerialdirektor; sent to study international law in Argentina, Chile, Brazil. In October 1931, State Secretary of the Imperial Ministry of Justice. 30.01.1938 joined the NSDAP. From 30/01/1941 to 24/08/1942 Acting Reich Minister of Justice. After the war, arrested. In the course of the American Military Tribunal in Nuremberg in the case of lawyers 04/12/1947 sentenced to life imprisonment. In February 1951 was released for health. Author of the book 'Modern law' (16 th edition, 1985).
