Blanter Matthew Isaakovich (28 January / February 10, 1903, the city of Bryansk region Pochep - October 24, 1990, Moscow) - composer.

. Studied at the Kursk College of Music in piano and violin, in 1917-19 - in the drama school of the Moscow Philharmonic Society for the violin
. Studied composition at T. E. Konyusa (1920-21).

Activities Blanter as a composer began in the pop-artistic studios' Workshop H. M. Forregera '(' Mastfor '). In 1926-27 years Blanter directed musical part of the Leningrad Theater of Satire, in 1930-31 - Magnitogorsk Drama Theater, in 1932-33 - the Gorki Theater miniatures.

. Works 20-ies is mainly written in the genre of light dance music
. Master of the genre of mass songs. Songs Blanter written word M. Hungry,. I. Lebedev-Kumach, K. M. Simonov A. A. Surkov, M. A. Svetlov, more than 20 songs created in collaboration with M. V. Isakovsky. Among the most famous songs: Partizan Zheleznyak, Song of Shchors (1935), in the way of long-distance track, Song of the Cossack, Katya (words M. V. Isakovskogo, 1939), In the forest, front-line; songs 50's and 60's: "The sun hid behind the hill, gave me good-bye, etc.. People's Artist of USSR (1975).
