Masakazu Katsura

Katsura Masakazu (p. 10/12/1962, Fukui Prefecture) - a famous and popular manga, a number of things which were filmed.

His first manga, "Wing" [Wing], he painted in 1981. Having obtained the following year, 1982, the prize Osamu Tezuka, he decided to do professional writing manga.

His first professional work, Manga "Man-wing - warrior dreams" [Yume Senshi Wingman] (1983-1986), was filmed in a TV series broadcast from 1984 to 1985. After that success, Katsura from exhaustion in hospital. Coming out of it, he has significantly improved the quality of his drawing and scripting.

In 1990 he began to publish the romantic fantasy manga "Ah - the girl from the tape" [Denei Shoujo Ai] (1990-1993). Already in 1992 it was filmed by director Nisikubo Madzuho in the form of OAV and brought him great fame. By the way, he even sang three songs from its soundtrack!

Since 1992, Katsura produced a parody of the "Batman" - "Shadow Lady" [Shadow Lady] (1992-1996), that played, incidentally, a great success.

In 1993 he began creating his most successful manga project - "DNK2" [DNA2] (1993-1994). In 1994 - took part (as a character designer) to create anime "Iria: Zeira" [Iria Zeiram].

Finally, in 1997, he began to print the romantic comedy "and" [I "s] (1997-2000). This name it got because the names of all its main characters start with "and".

Katsura - not the most outstanding, but very bright representative of modern Shе?nen manga that combines romance, fantasy and comedy elements and very popular with readers of her teens.
